Gino Tano is the non-fictional protagonist of his life. He is also a prominent supporting character in the lives of several other people, most notably the tennis team, BACKLESS, and S4.

Gino is an ever quirky, graduate of De La Salle Zobel. Once a cold loner, he has said that he has wandered the very threshold of darkness, and found people waiting for him.
Though not as smart as most of his friends and/or rivals, he can hold his own in academic challenges. He also has a love for tennis, spending 2 1/4 years of high school on the tennis team.
